Love this. I love graffiti, which is not a tile, but they have patterns and rhythms in a like fashion. From a purely aesthetic view, tiles win on elegance.

Absolutely, the graffiti here is fabulous. Have you been by the wall of graffiti near Amoreiras.

No, I haven’t. I live in the Porto area. I’ll post a recent photo where graffiti and branding have come together. At least, I think it is branding.

They are all beautiful, and it's wonderful that you have an opportunity to examine them closely. Living there you certainly see things that tourists don't have an opportunity to see. Please do continue to post them!

We are in Tavira now and visiting Portugal for the first time. I love all the tiles too and take photos of some of them and especially the buildings. At home, we have tiles around our fireplace and one bathroom floor with a pattern like the fourth one from the bottom. I love seeing how the patterns come together also.

Beautiful!! I do miss that from the mainland. Very little Azulejo here on the island. Thanks for sharing!

I love the tiles here, too! Have also taken many photos. I'm *obsessed* with the doors though. I have hundreds of photos of doors from around Europe now, but most are from Portugal since it's where I live (in the Porto area). A good tile and door combo is so satisfying!

It is hard to know what to concentrate on here: the sidewalks, the doors, the balconies, the tiles.

I have heard there is a tile museum in Lisbon. I trust you have found that by now? The photos I've seen from there are delicious.

There is! But - I only made it through the first floor! I was too amazed and overwhelmed - and wanted to drag it out to another visit.
