That may be a different post but the short version is that we could play board games at local cafes three nights most weeks, and four nights some weeks if we wanted to. Haven't settled on a routine yet but Tuesdays at one spot and Saturdays at another is a possibility.
Mike and I stopped in at a shop that sells board games, probably the one closest to the apartment. It had a small and expensive selection (it's mostly a Funko pop and assorted items store) and their Wingspan European Edition expansion (35 Euro) was in Portuguese, of course. There are one or two larger shops farther away that I haven't gotten to yet.
Love the doors - we had the same ones in Edinburgh (where they were rarely opened all the way!). Mini splits (the wall-mounted HVAC units) are super common throughout Europe. They're definitely around in Cascais, although it's more common to have either (a) neither heat nor A/C, or (b) only heat, via radiators. We have option B, which was a hard requirement as I hate to be cold... And it really doesn't get warm enough out here on the coast to need A/C. It is surprising how much warmer Lisbon gets, considering how close we are!
I love it! And, I would have taken it for those French doors, too. How blissful to open the doors and let in the air and breeze!
It really is. It also forces us to keep things a bit tidy as loose papers and the like will blow around if we're not careful :-D.
I would love to hear about your closest board game shop/any board game groups you have found😎

Love the canine perspective in all these shots!
She got a little miffed as I kept asking her to move but some quality time on the bed seemed to mollify her 😆.
Those doors really are cool! Opens from the top & curtains!? 😎🦎
The doors are fairly common here and totally amazing!
