Fantastic! We can't wait to get back into the groove of having gatherings at our place (especially now that we have so many chairs :-) ), but it feels a long way off. Glad you have settled in.
That was my first thought when I saw your last post: they can have lots of people over! Our limiting factor for board gaming is chairs. We have 12 chairs that will work for the gaming tables, which can probably seat 16-18 people. We will need more chairs soon.
You two are amazing! Ok, so I HAVE to ask. How did you get an injury to your head, Scott? Did Amy push you into the oven? Loved the picture. Josie is getting very white in the muzzle, isn't she. So glad you have made such a wonderful new life and have so many friends. I'm having a small dinner party today for the 4th. using paper plates, etc. Nothing like your big gatherings. You have certainly used the small space you have wisely. If you plan to keep exploding blueberries, however, I suggest you paint the whole place blue and buy blue towels. I'm so glad you are happy and making other people happy, too. Love and hugs.
We have giant shades over our large windows. We close them in the heat to block the direct sun and keep the apartment cooler. When baking, I needed a bowl from the cabinet on the other side of the closed shade. Rather than open the shade (because, lazy), I opted to duck under the shade. I had forgotten that the window was open behind the shade and stood up into it.
And we used paper plates for our parties. For non-serving purposes, at least.
I keep forgetting to come back to this and let you know that it worked!!! The stains are gone. We used a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and left it until it dried up. It was magic. Thank you!
We have not. Honestly, I'm terrified of both the wood floor and the limestone counter. They both seem so fragile. The wood is finished with oil, not varnish or polyurethane. And the limestone chips or stains if you look at it funny. We're working on accepting the imperfections. 😆 Your idea seems worth a go, though. Thank you!
Just work on a small portion of the stain first and see what happens. You can even try toothpaste! Some brands have baking soda so it's generally mild. I would not advise bleach because that would be too harsh, especially with the limestone.
Love that you have built a new family for yourselves! It speaks to the amazing people you both are.
Thanks, Moira. How's that knee coming along?

I'd say your new home has been thoroughly warmed by your community. I'm happy for you both.
Thank you 😀
Fabulous! Sounds like a lot of fun and wonderful you have found such a lovely community.
Happy for you guys!
Sounds like you two have a busy social calendar. ❤

Ouch! And be careful around those exploding blueberries, too!
Happy 4th of July!
The blueberries are gonna do what blueberries are gonna do 😆. Happy Fourth to you as well.
Slow but sure! I can walk short distances now without the crutches!
For the blueberry stain, have you tried some baking soda worked into a paste and letting it sit for a bit?

Woohoo! Stains be gone! 😂
