Fenway is iconic, my friend, and don't you forget it! I wonder if Neil Diamond knows he is a world-wide sporting phenomenon?

Fenway *is* iconic. It *also* has awkwardly angled seats and concrete beams in the way :-D.

And yeah, I bet Neil Diamond knows. https://www.thenationalnews.com/world/uk-news/2021/07/09/why-england-fans-have-sung-neil-diamonds-sweet-caroline-at-euros-2020/

The question is whether he still makes any money off of it.

Watching the US in the World Cup here in VRSA I assumed the “Sweet Caroline” was a not to the Americans. But I returned the next night to watch Portugal and found the same song played. Odd but fun!

It's apparently a favorite the world over though I can't say why. Not even after reading this:

What a tremendous report! Love the description of the stadium and the atmosphere within the grounds. Bring a nice sandwich the next time. Glad you were able to take in the match. Just saw a Facebook post on Bracara Augusta, ancient Braga, and the remains of a bath complex somewhere in/near town. Now, I have to get there! Be well!
