Thanks for that post!!! I don't walk past beautiful British cemeteries as a matter of course, but at the top of our Azinhaga (alley / road) that we walk up every day to go to the gym, there is an empty field with the most amazing weeds / flowers!! My phone is filled with pictures of what I call the watercolor nasturtiums and morning glories and other weeds with unknown names. That field also contains what my Granddaughters call "The Door to Nowhere." It's the remains of an old stone house in that field. It's wonderful and now I'm thinking I need to do another blog post just to post my zillions of pictures of that field and Door to Nowhere. :-) Thank you for sharing. Are you absolutely amazed that it's been 2.5 years already??? We're just coming up on 2 years and it's astonishing. Would we go back .... NEVER!!!!! Especially not now!!!
Since I know you are missing St. Louis — current temp is 9 F with snow covered ground and 1-3 inches more predicted tonight. There are daffodils poking above ground. If they survive this they will no doubt go like gangbusters. Glad you are getting a chance to garden.
I love all the flowers, especially since we’ve had a couple of storms here recently that’s left us with ice covered snow. But isn’t that white one a calla lily? It’s very popular in bridal bouquets.
Absolutely spectacular array of floral delights - brightening a cold, windy day in Boston. Thank you for sharing. Hope all is well. Enjoy the (early) arrival of spring.
Yes! Phil and I were just talking about February weather here. We’re used to getting blizzards on Valentines Day! Even in Santa Fe 🤣 (although the snow melted by the afternoon, there).
I never ever saw a blooming jade tree! 7 1/2 years ago we reocated to Lagos. I will never forget the sight of fields along the hiking paths literally covered in wildflowers. In February!
They are all beautiful! My Panama rose started blooming end of January when it was still cold here, now it's fading as it gets warmer. I thought winter would never leave this year, but it is warming up nicely now. Unfortunately, we also have Red Tide, which means dead fish on beaches and allergic reactions for humans. I still love Florida! Glad you will get to garden.
It was such a wonder to go from an unseasonably cold Toronto to winter in the Azores a few weeks ago. I'm sure the locals are amused with my enthusiasm for the flowers here, even the weeds. I'm with you at jumping at the chance to garden whenever I can. I'm hardly an accomplished gardener, but it's always more fun to weed someone else's garden than my own :)
620830---Hi Amy So Glad to hear from you and the flowers are beautiful! so glad you have found a place to Garden and that is a new area that will be enjoyed by many. Great. Can't wait till we get some spring. Winter too long this year. Aunt Peggy

You are really getting hit this year!
For real! But next Monday’s predicted high is 56!

Right you are! I was thinking Calla, but managed to write Canna. I give up!

Oh my! I'll have to come visit for that. Any particular locations?
Above Bensafrim, outside Lagos. Sent pics to FB.

I just looked up Panama rose. Looks lovely!
Beautiful flowers! I've been taking lots of flowers pictures here in the Algarve. It's amazing! 🌸
Such a joy to find flowers at this time of year!
What a welcome post—today it is 9 degrees in St Louis and snowy once again. Smiles to you both!
You are really taking it on the chin lately!
