I think my favorite is the owl, or the last one with the woman and the birds.

The owl is pretty awesome. What I didn't show is that there are at least four others just like it (slightly different materials used to create each) all along a wall under an overpass.

The woman with the birds is on a wall in Alfama, one of the traditional neighborhoods left in Lisbon - narrow, winding alleys and such. (Much of Lisbon was levelled by an earthquake/fire/tsunami disaster in 1755. Most areas were rebuilt in a more modern grid-like layout.)

Thanks for sharing more of the amazing art you encounter. It's wonderful , so varied, and often so vibrant. It's difficult to choose a favorite!

We are off to vote and a late breakfast!

You're welcome! It's so hard to look *everywhere* all the time but it is often worth doing so.

The owl, which I think is by Bordalo II, is terrific. Have you seen his raccoon near the Museu Colecao Berardo or the pelicans near the Santa Justa lift?

The owl, as you are doubtless aware, is one of a series of nearly identical designs (same owl, slightly different pieces making each composition) that runs under a bridge. I think we may have seen the raccoon. Is that in Belem? I believe I took two terrible photos of that one back in July. And, now that you mention it, the pelicans sound familiar but I don't think I've got pics yet.

Thanks for the comment! Always nice to hear from a fellow word nerd and lover of the oxford comma!

There are more Bordalo II works around Lisbon but I haven't seen them yet. There's also a terrific one in Porto (actually across the river) called Half Rabbit.
