I think it's all fascinating, esp. the parks, the birds, and the new foods you are trying. All part of the adventure. Yes, very different from the US, but isn't that why you are there? Love the tiles in the road, too. I still can't figure out what the beer ad was really saying.

Great to see your journey in Lisbon! I also walked by the park with the dancers and a member from the walking group asked the police men what was going on. It turns out there were shooting a Nike commercial!

We’re so lucky with the weather these days, enjoy all the walks and wanders!

Thanks for that info! We neglected to ask for specifics. I ran into the filming for a sports drink commercial a few weeks ago before we moved neighborhoods. I wonder if we'll ever actually see either of these commercials at any point. That would be fun!

We stayed at at AirBnB on Rua Palmira last year so the Intendente station is familiar. By sheer coincidence, I popped into a quaint bookstore a day or two prior and bought a small picture book about Lisbon buildings and their special tiles. I thought about how cool it would be if we spot some of them while we were out and about doing touristy things. Well, one of the tiled buildings called Fabrica Ceramica Viuva Lamego happens to be on that main drag near the Intendente station! While it's not as well maintained as it was in the photos, I was still stoked that we found one.

Fa soap was also something that caught our attention. I've no idea if it still exists or if it's available in Portugal.

It's funny how these little memories are popping in!

I clearly remember seeing a billboard for Bock beer and Grandma saying she had to have one. Somewhere in the few days we were there she did.

The fountain is glorious as is the hot pink bougainvillea behind it!

Is there something off putting about hot dogs in a jar ?

Sounds like a terrific Sunday to me!

Fountain is spectacular. I haven't even seen it fully lit up yet. I cannot even begin to imagine.

Hot dogs in the jar. Just *shudder*

I seem to remember Grandma drinking Bock bier (sp?) when we were in Vienna.
